Inspectors, Inc. is a non-profit organization helping home
inspectors achieve financial success and maintain inspection

The American Society of Home Inspectors, Inc. (ASHI) is a
non-profit organization and was established in 1976. ASHI is the
largest national professional organization of home inspectors
with members throughout the United States and Canada.
The National Association of Home Inspectors, Inc. (NAHI)
was established in 1987 as a non-profit association to promote
and develop certified and licensed home inspectors in the home
inspection industry. NAHI strives to promote excellence and
professionalism in the Home Inspection industry; to provide home
inspector standards of practice and a code of ethics for home
inspectors in the USA.
The
Housing Inspection Foundation (HIF) is an organization of
professionals dedicated to the promotion and development of Home
Inspection. The Housing Inspection Foundation was created to
provide members with Information, Education, Standards, Ethics,
and Professional Recognition.
The National Academy of Building Inspection
Engineers (NABIE) is a society which accepts as members only
state-registered Professional Engineers specializing in the
practice of building inspections.
The National Institute of Building Inspectors
(NIBI) has provided educational and training programs for the
home inspection industry and related professions since 1987. NIBI
evolved from training programs and is recognized as one of the
oldest home inspection training institutes.
The Arkansas Association of Real Estate Inspectors
(AAREI) was founded in 1993. The AAREI provides a forum for home
inspectors to exchange experiences and to enhance the technical
knowledge of its members and also promotes excellence in the Home
Inspection industry in Arkansas.
The California Real Estate Inspection Association
(CREIA) is a voluntary, nonprofit public-benefit organization of
real estate inspectors. Founded in 1976, CREIA provides
education, training and support services to its members and the
real estate community. CREIA's Code of Ethics and Standards
of Practice are recognized by the California Business and
Professions Codes and are considered the standard of care by the
real estate industry and legal profession in the state.
The Connecticut Association of Home Inspectors was
established in 1992 by home inspectors forming an organized group
of professional home inspectors throughout Connecticut. CAHI is
the largest independent home inspector organization in the state,
providing top monthly and continuing educational seminars that
meet the requirements set forth by the Connecticut Home
Inspection Licensing Board.
The Georgia Association of Home Inspectors (GAHI)
promotes higher standards for professional home inspectors since
its inception in 1989. The State of Georgia does not license home
inspectors. The GAHI's membership requirements some of the
most stringent in the country, help fill this void.
The Kentucky Real Estate Inspection Association,
Inc. (KREIA) formed in 1992. Its purpose is to promote customer
service through its Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
Also maintain high standards of conduct for its members and
provide its members with education and training
opportunities.
The Minnesota Society of Home Inspectors was established
in 1979. The MSHI is a not-for-profit society of private,
licensed, fee-paid home inspectors encourages continuing
education on a monthly basis.
Southern Nevada Association of Professional
Property Inspectors (SNAPPI) is a non-profit organization that
requires all home inspectors to have errors & omissions
insurance and general liability. Nevada is one of the few states
that have licensing for home inspectors of structures.
The North Carolina Licensed Home
Inspector Association (NCLHIA) a non-profit organization formed
in 1997. Home Inspectors are licensed by meeting stringent
requirements set by the State of North Carolina and passing a
comprehensive examination administered by the Home Inspector
Licensure Board.
The Pennsylvania Home Inspectors Coalition (PHIC) was
formed to promote standards of professionalism in the home
inspection profession and act as a unified representative voice,
on a state level. The PHIC monitors new legislation, that will
affect the home inspection profession or consumers, and confers
with State and local legislators.
The Texas Association of Real Estate Inspectors
(TAREI) was formed in 1977. TAREI promotes a professional code of
ethics for its members, reviews and upgrades minimum standards,
provides recommendations to the Texas Real Estate Commission, and
conducts continuing education programs for all home
inspectors.
The Wisconsin Association of Home Inspectors (WAHI) is a
non-profit association dedicated to promoting and developing the
home inspection industry within the State of Wisconsin. WAHI goal
is to maintain high standards of conduct in the home inspection
profession as expressed in the State of Wisconsin Standards of
Practice and the Association Code of Ethics.
