A Talisman Home Inspecion is an independent, careful, and detailed visual and infrared inspection (top to bottom) of the home which may take up to 6 hours on site. It takes time because the entire house is visually inspected “thoroughly” from exterior siding, porches, decks, roofs, fascia and soffit covering, windows and window trim, chimneys, attics, bathrooms, bathroom fixtures, bathroom plumbing, bedrooms, interior living spaces, kitchen, kitchen plumbing, built-in appliances, laundry room, finished basement and unfinished basement conditions, exposed structural beams, joists, potable plumbing and waste pipes, foundations, garages, garage attics, electrical panels, exposed wiring conditions, HVAC systems, Water Heaters, etc.

Hi-tech devices such as an infrared camera and moisture meters are also used in our professional inspection. These state-of-the-art uncooled FPA infrared detectors produce high sensitive thermal images that can allow detection of subtle temperature variations that can signal moisture content in building materials. These infrared cameras allow non-invasive means of monitoring and diagnosing of conditions that may not be discernible to the naked eye.

An extensive customized written inspection report with digital pictures and numerically indexed comments for quick reference is provided. Deficient conditions, maintenance suggestions, safety upgrades, and conditions of the property are reviewed at the time of inspection, as well as, the availability to address any questions after the report is received. For fast communication, Email is used to send a detailed report (up to 50 pages) quickly and directly to the client, usually the next day.
